Covid Air BnB


We spent 10 wonderful nights at our Covid Air BnB.  Our host welcomed us at a heartbeat when we had no place to go after testing positive.  This basement suite has everything we need and more.  Their highspeed internet allowed us to remain productive and to stay connected with the outside world during isolation.  While we were blessed, there were a lot of inconvenience and sacrifice for our host family!  The Bible taught us to practice hospitality.  Experiencing hospitality as a foreigner in a time of need brings me back to Leviticus in the Old Testament and the early church in the New Testament when believers shared their belongings with each other so that no one lacks anything.  I want to thank our host for teaching us that generosity is a lifestyle.

Air BnB equipped with a 50-year old out-of-tune piano, still younger than the piano man 👱!

Takeout night: Brown's Social.  I like their fries!  Burgers are meh 😶

Takeout night: Panda Express.  Their Beijing Beef was too spicy😓!

It's better to stay inside! 🙈

Dessert is a must!  This is classic red bean soup 🙌

We finished watching Jirisan on Netflix and started Royal Secret Inspector 🙈!

I brought my own moisturizing propolis soap from Hawaii 😄


 
We had a Thanksgiving Dinner on the last night to give thanks to our Heavenly Father 🙏

Isolation Begins

It feels like I have un-retired. I was researching past midnight about when to expect the viral load to be low enough for us to retake the antigen test to yield negative results.  Then I called Expedia to rebook our flight back to Honolulu based on our best guess. Today, I spent more than 12 hours on my iPhone using productivity and utility apps.  First time we Zoomed with immediate family not to socialize but for family business. Throughout the day, I was making and receiving reports regarding care services for dad.  I must applaud my 13 Pro’s battery life and my isolation suite’s wifi capacity.  Bravo! Day zero (onset of symptoms) was Jan 7 for me and P. My rapid test was negative on Jan 8 and positive on Jan 9. We immediately moved into isolation.  Prior to Jan 7, I tested negative three times in Canada with antigen test and three times in Hawaii with PCR test.
